Military authorities say that the freed captives are being checked by health officials at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in Borno State.
The women are being tested for HIV and are also being examined to determine if any of them is pregnant, Punch report.
7 of the rescued girls are said to have sustained gunshot wounds and are also being treated at the UMTH.
“We will talk about it when we are through; we are busy moving them off the line of duty for a thorough screening. The military would do everything to take care of them and make them feel not traumatised,” Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade said.
The girls and women were rescued from the sect on April 28, 2015, during an operation in Sambisa Forest.
