Goodluck Jonathan - 4 officials President has sacked suddenly

In all the cases, the President ordered the sack to take immediate effect while announcing replacements for the dismissed officials.

President Goodluck Jonathan has in recent times relieved some of his officials of their duties seemingly without warning.
In all the cases, the President ordered the sack to take immediate effect while announcing replacements for the dismissed officials.
Here are four officials that have been sacked summarily by Jonathan:
  1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Femi Thomas was relieved of his duties on Monday, April 27, 2015 and immediately replaced with Olufemi A. Akingbade.
  2. Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba was sacked on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 and replaced with Deputy Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase with immediate effect.
  3. Chairman of the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS), Kabiru Mashi was sacked on March 18, 2015 and replaced with FIRS Coordinating Director, Samuel Ogungbesan.
  4. Chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P), Martin-Luther Agwai was sacked on March 10, 2015 and replaced with Ishaya Dare Akau.
